Many steps are involved in gathering the information to find the right college for you.  This packet is put together to assist you in using some tools to will you in making choices.

You need to locate information on 3 colleges/universities and fill out the college search worksheet.  At the top of the column on page one of the worksheet, identify your resource for the information.  These may include the college search engine on the www.collegeboard.com or the college handbooks in the library or the college catalog for the particular college.  You are REQUIRED to use AT LEAST 1 book resource from the library and at least one online resource to collect the information.  ALL RESOURCES MUST BE SITED. Use CITATION MAKER to make constructing your bibliography much easier.

Choose one of your three schools you would like to learn more about and write a short essay (2-3 pages) explaining what about that school interest you the most.  Questions to answer in this essay include:

·        What characteristics of this school match what I am looking for in a school?

·        What characteristics am I looking for that are not matched by this school?

·        What do I have to offer the school? (Tuition is not an option)

·        What will I need to do to ensure that I am an attractive candidate for the selection committee?

·        Many students drop out of college before graduation.  What steps are you going to take to make sure you do not fall into that statistical category.

The project is a quarter project and worth 150 points.   (20 percent of your quarter grade)
